Chinese Chive Soup- Canh He

Make one serving in multiple courses Vietnamese meal
    1 cup chicken broth (home made or store bought)
    A hand full of Chinese chives (Garlic chives), trim the tough ends, wash and cut into 1-2 in length
    A pinch of ground black pepper
In a small saucepan, bring the broth to a boil.  Add chives, bring it to a boil, taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat, serve warm with cook rice.

*Notes:
   Can use different veggie like spinach,curly mustard, etc. but need to cook longer until the green is tender.
   Can add ground meat, fish, shrimp, tofu, etc.  to the broth before adding chive.
   Can use different broths as fish, pork. shrimp.
