Having won approval from the government of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Novaland Group is rolling its sleeves to prepare the planning and development of the Ho Tram wildlife safari project in Xuyen Moc District and the southwest eco-residential area project in Ba Ria City.
The planning of the two projects is expected to be presented to the provincial government in November or December this year.
Novaland is also fast-tracking its major projects in Can Tho City, Binh Thuan Province’s Phan Thiet City and Khanh Hoa Province’s Cam Ranh City.
Novaland General Director Bui Xuan Huy said the group will get involved in resort and tourism property projects in the years to come, especially in provinces with high growth potential, such as Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Novaland has made financial arrangements for these projects through multiple channels, including share and bond sales at home and abroad.
Ho Tram wildlife safari project
After the Party Committee and the government of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province issued official dispatches 3988-CV/TU and 3546/UBND-VP, respectively approving in principle the wildlife safari project in Xuyen Moc District, Novaland Group has been working with Vidotour Indochina Travel Co., Ltd, to do the planning of the project.
Covering more than 500 hectares, the project will feature a wildlife park, a water park, villas, coastal hotels and commercial-service facilities.
The southwest eco-urban area in the gateway to the beach city of Vung Tau
The urban area will cover 1,800 hectares in Long Huong Ward, Ba Ria City. It has a total natural water surface area of over 400 hectares, connected to the Long Hoa and Dinh Rivers. The urban area will be located in the gateway to the beach city of Vung Tau.
After official document 3910-CV/TU was issued by the provincial Party Committee and official document 3679/UBND-VP by the provincial government to give approval to the project, Novaland has drawn up a plan to develop a model eco-urban area which makes the most of the water surface to create a new and peaceful landscape for the area. The project will have seven villages featuring typical architectural characteristics of European countries, such as France, Spain, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands.

The forthcoming urban area will also have space for outdoor activities, such as a water park, a sport area and a camping site, as well as areas for commercial, healthcare and education services, meeting the high demands of residents.
Since early this year, Novaland has proactively prepared land for its urban area and resort projects in provinces nationwide.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, which is more than 100 kilometers southeast of HCMC, is in the key southern economic zone. Its advantages, including a 300-kilometer coastline, natural reserves, historical monuments and traditional festivals, have helped the province develop spiritual tourism, high-quality eco-tourism and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) tourism.
According to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department of Tourism, the province had attracted about 6.5 million tourists in the year to June and earned VND4.55 trillion (US$193 million) from accommodation services, up 12.5% over the same period last year. Travel services generated VND1.03 trillion in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%.
However, the province has a severe shortage of high-end hotels and resorts integrated with entertainment services despite the province’s tourism potential.
According to Novaland Group’s development plan in the 2016-2020 period, the firm looks to maintain its position in the apartment market segment. The group will also develop resorts in good locations in cities and provinces, with strategic traffic infrastructure facilities such as airports, expressways and seaports. These projects will highlight the province’s cultural values and provide international standard services, thus encouraging tourists to stay longer and repeat their visits to the province.
